New toy-smoothie maker!

A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to a smoothie maker in the hope that it would make breakfast time quick and easy. I have really enjoyed experimenting with the different flavours and have found myself having much more fruit. Plus it's very quick and easy! I also wanted to boost my milk supply as I was expressing milk ready for a night out.


I got mine on offer from Lidl but you can get similar ones from amazon:





These are some of my favourite milk boosting recipes:

 
The oats, brewers yeast and flaxseed are all great for boosting milk supply, I can really tell a difference after having one of these smoothies which is great for when I want to express.
 
I have been expressing since Quinn was five weeks old and she has taken a bottle really well since then. I felt it was important to establish breastfeeding first but then equally important to get her used to accepting a bottle. The fact she'll take a bottle has been great as it has meant she has been able to stay with her Grandparents for the day while Phill and I have been to weddings and it has also allowed Phill to be able to feed her from time to time.
 
I'm off to have a delicious smoothie now... :-)
